"Clause 2
Every candidate must on or before the 1st day of the examination furnish to the Registrar a declaration as near as may be in the form set out in the schedule hereto, showing the facts upon which his claim to be eligible for the scholarship is based. Such declaration shall have annexed to it a photograph of the candidate, and shall be verified by the Headmaster of the school at which the candidate is a scholar, or by the Headmaster of his last school if he is no longer at school but has been at school within a period of one year, or if he has not been at school within the period of one year then by such public authority or private person as can best testify to the accuracy of the facts set out."
"Clause 3
The successful candidate may, before the scholarship is definitely awarded to him be required to furnish such further or better evidence of his eligibility as the University authorities may require, and may also, before the scholarship is so finally awarded or before the first instalment thereof is paid or credited to him, be required to certify to the accuracy of all or any of the information furnished by him, in the form of a statutory declaration.
As soon as the first instalment of the scholarship shall have been paid or credited to the successful candidate, his eligibility shall not be open to further question save on the ground of fraud or misrepresentation, but the Council shall be entitled to cancel the award at any time in any case in which it is satisfied that fraud or misrepresentation has taken place."
